Self centered?

We got Jack a tee ball set and he has enjoyed learning to hit off of it. He has actually gotten pretty good at it. The first day, he blasted the ball into the side of our car that was in the driveway. He put his hands in the air and triumphantly yelled, "You hit da car!"

The next day, we were out playing and he belted one again. It was some pretty good contact and I exclaimed, "Wow!" Jack smiled and said, "Dat was phenomenal!" I was worried that he was a little self-absorbed until I threw the ball back and he said, "Wow! Dat was a good throw, Mommy!" Now I know that he is just an honest kid!
